Senior Hamas operative, member of the Silwan cell. Helped carry out suicide attacks in which a large number of Israelis were murdered. Caught by security forces in 2002, and sentenced to life imprisonment. He was released from prison on January 25, 2025, after 22 years of imprisonment, as part of the second phase of the hostage deal. According to the terms of the deal, he was permanently expelled from the West Bank.
