Responsible for a series of severe attacks in which 82 Israeli civilians were murdered and hundreds more were wounded.
He holds a master's degree in Political Science and is considered a pioneer in strategic terrorism.
He was among the first to identify the destructive potential and psychological impact of these types of attacks, and serves as a central source of knowledge and a dangerous role model.
During his stay in Jordan in 1994, he was recruited to Hamas by Imad al-Alami and Khaled Mashal. After his recruitment, he was sent to Judea and Samaria to serve as a connecting link between the command abroad and the military wing in the field.
In 1995 he was arrested for interrogation and admitted to being recruited to Hamas in Jordan and to activities establishing Hamas terror infrastructure in his village.
During his imprisonment, he served as a member of the Hamas command in prison and immediately upon his release became the right-hand man of Adel Awadallah - head of Hamas's military wing in the West Bank, who was killed in 1998.
In 1998 he was responsible for a cell that murdered two Yitzhar residents in August 1998. Due to his activities, he was arrested by the Palestinians in 1999 and released at the beginning of the Second Intifada.
Immediately upon his release from Palestinian Authority prison, he became the head of Hamas's military wing in Ramallah and was responsible for the following series of attacks:
● A suicide attack carried out on September 4, 2001, on Hanevi'im Street in Jerusalem in which 13 people were wounded.
● A combined car bombing suicide attack in Zion Square in Jerusalem on December 1, 2001, in which 11 people were murdered.
● A suicide attack at the Moment restaurant in Jerusalem on March 9, 2002, in which 12 people were murdered.
● A suicide attack at the Sheffield Club in Rishon LeZion, in which 16 people were murdered.
● A bombing at the cafeteria of the Hebrew University in Jerusalem on July 31, 2002, in which 9 people were murdered.
● A suicide attack on Bus Line 4 on Allenby Street in Tel Aviv on September 19, 2002, in which 6 people were murdered.
● Combined suicide attacks at a hitchhiking post near Camp Tzrifin and at Cafe Hillel in Jerusalem on September 9, 2003, in which 15 people were murdered.
● A bombing at a bus stop on Har Zion Boulevard in Tel Aviv on July 11, 2004, in which one female soldier was murdered and others were wounded.
During 2001-2003, he was responsible for a series of shooting attacks in the Benjamin region in which 10 Israeli civilians and soldiers were killed.
Additionally, he attempted several strategic attacks in Israel including:
● On May 23, 2002 - Bombing of a fuel tanker at Pi Glilot, in which one person was wounded.
● On June 21, 2002 - A bombing attack against a train.
● On June 30, 2002 - Another bombing attack against a train.
These attacks resulted in 4 wounded people.
