Naim Qassem

The Secretary-General of Hezbollah and head of the organization's Jihad Council. He was appointed as the leader of the organization following the deaths of Hassan Nasrallah and Hashem Safi al-Din during the military campaign with Israel in 2024. Prior to that, he served as the Deputy Secretary-General since 1991. Over the years, he played a critical role in Hezbollah's military operations, including the 2006 Second Lebanon War and the ongoing conflict with Israel. He is also a Shiite cleric and an influential writer who has extensively written about Hezbollah's ideology and actions. He consistently supports resistance to Israeli and Western influence in the region and upholds Hezbollah's loyalty to Iran's Islamic Revolution.
