Armed Forces General Command (Iran)

The supreme military body in Iran, responsible for the overall supervision of all the armed forces in the country, including the Iranian army, the Revolutionary Guards, the police, and other law enforcement bodies. One of the command’s central roles is to provide military advice to the supreme leader on strategic and security issues, as well as to translate his directives into practical military policies and strategies. The command also coordinates between the various bodies at a strategic level, ensuring equipment, operational readiness, and ideological education for the forces. Despite its great authority, this body is not part of the army's direct command chain and does not engage in operational planning or direct deployment of forces on the battlefield.
